Testing whether people can move properly while dosed
What they did
A University of Melbourne team designed a triple-blind study testing whether healthy volunteers can safely perform movement tasks under psilocybin doses up to 15mg, as groundwork for later work in movement disorders.
What they found
The published paper sets out the method and dosing schedule. Results from this work went on to inform a separate protocol for psilocybin-assisted physiotherapy in treatment-resistant functional neurological disorder.
Worth knowing
This is a study design paper in healthy volunteers, not a treatment trial and not a study in patients. Filed here as one to watch rather than as a finding.
