What they did

Participants took repeated low doses of psilocybin truffles or placebo across two randomised double-blind trials in semi-naturalistic settings, with measures of cognitive control, memory, social cognition and wellbeing.

What they found

Microdosing did not significantly beat placebo on any behavioural or subjective measure once the results were corrected for multiple comparisons. Blinding held, and negative bodily sensations were more common in the active condition.
